CM should get elected by the people directly – Shabbir Ali

Shabbir Ali made a comment that those who want to become CM should better get elected by the people. This appears to have hurt CM Rosaiah.

Though Shabbir made the comment inadvertently, sources close to the CM say Rosaiah felt a bit upset with his comments, as he was not elected directly by the people but got elected by the MLAs to the legislative council. It is natural that, Shabbir Ali’s comments have hurt Rosaiah.

However, everybody knows that Shabbir Ali’s comment was aimed at PCC president D Srinivas, whose lifetime ambition is to become the chief minister one day or the other. At present, he is trying to get into the legislative council through backdoor methods and become a minister. Later, if he gets a chance, he might become the CM. That is what has irritated Shabbir Ali, who also lost the last general elections like D Srinivas from Nizamabad
