Expell L Rajagopal – Cong. minority leaders
Politics | admin | March 22, 2010 at 4:51 amL Rajagopal made the remarks against the muslim community in Telangana region, in his report to the Justice BN Srikrishna Committee. Congress minority leaders have objected to the remarks allegedly made by Vijayawada MP L Rajagopal against the minorities.
They demanded that L Rajagopal be expelled from the Congress party for making provocative remarks stating that Telangana would become a hub of ISI activities and terrorism in case it was separated from Andhra.
In a memorandum submitted to Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas, the Congress minority leaders stated that L Rajagopal trying to mislead Sri Krishna Committee with misrepresentation of Muslim community. They felt that Rajagopal tried to link the Telangana issue with the ISI by blaming the minorities, particularly the Muslims, of the region.
The Muslim leaders urged the Congress high command to call for an explanation from L Rajagopal and initiate action against him and expell him from congress party, failing which they warned to take up agitations against his continuance in the party. and Yusuf Qureshi.
