Telangana supporters embarras Union Minister
Politics | admin | March 13, 2010 at 7:14 pmKapil Sibal, Union minister for human resource development, had a embarrassing moment during his visit to Hyderabad when students disrupted his programmes demanding Telangana.
The minister was forced to shift the venue of his press conference from the Hyderabad Central University campus to a star hotel when some students resorted to a flash demonstration in front of the venue just minutes before the minister’s arrival.
The Telangana supporters raised slogans against the Congress and its chief Sonia Gandhi, the Sri Krishna committee and demanded the early introduction of Telangana Bill in Parliament and the formation of Telangana state.
Mr Sibal’s programme at English and Foreign Languages University in OU campus was also cancelled after OU students gathered in large numbers at the venue raising slogans against the congress high command demanding Telangana.
