Every one knows by now that there was a shoot-out in the old city of Hyderabad in Shalibanda. 2 masked men – suspected terrorists came on a motorbike and fired gunshots at the police picket in Shalibanda. Three policemen were injured and while shifting them to the hospital 1 policeman was dead. The 2 masked men just drove away, they could not be traced after the incident.

It has been 2-3 weeks that Hyderabad is on high alert and there are police pickets at every junction and the policemen should be as alert as possible. After the incident on friday, May 14 2010 the policemen should be very attentive and alert, but to the utter disappointment of people this is not happening.

Additional commissioner of Police was on rounds in the city of Hyderabad on the night on Maay 14 2010, the same day the shoot-out happened, he has visited the same police picket spot where the shoot-out happened, he saw all the policemen sleeping(moddhu nidhra) at the picket, none were alert and ACP was shocked to see the situation, he questioned all the policemen at the spot.

This is the situation of policemen in Andhra Pradesh, the rioters, killers, terrorists know how efficiently and how effectively the policemen in Andhra Pradesh work and they are the easy targets, what did the khakis(Policemen) do after the shoot-out in Hyderabad. Nothing have they done or achieved.

A police constable had died and hyderabad is put on Red alert, after the incident hyderabad and secunderabad citizens have not come out of their homes, the twin cities were deserted. Every one is scared, afraid and tensed as to what will happen the next moment.

There is a saying that Oka Khaki (Crow) chanipothey vandha Khakulu (Crows) kalisi arusthavi, Kani mana police ollu mathram. Khakula (Crows) nunchi kooda emi nerchu koledhu.

Oka police vadu shoot-out la chani pothey, antha kalisi kattu gaa moddhu nidhra poyindru.

Atleast now the Police department should wake up and be alert.
