The BJP national executive member, Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Congress and TDP should not contest in the forthcoming by-polls, if they have any political morality. Moreover, both the parties should take responsibility to ensure the success of the candidates who had resigned for the sake of Telangana obeying the decision of the Political JAC.

Speaking to media at the state party office on May 02 2010, Dattatreya said that both the Congress and TDP were in the JAC when the MLAs had resigned from their posts for the sake of separate statehood of Telangana. He urged the Telangana supporters to come out on a single platform and work for the victory of the candidates who have resigned for the sake of Telangana.

Responding to a question, Dattatreya said that JAC had suspended the TDP due to its dual stand on the Telangana issue. “Even the Congress made its exit from the JAC following its double stand on Telangana”, he charged.

Responding to another question Dattatreya said that the BJP has no confidence on the Sri Krishna Committee and demanding the government to introduce a Telangana Bill in Parliament.
