The Minister for Information & Public Relations, Geeta Reddy said that the government would provide all possible security, if Jagan chose to visit Srikakulam district as part of his ongoing Odarpu Yatra. Answering a question from media, She said that security would be provided to Mr Jagan if he went ahead with his tour.
The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, while stating that Jagan vowed to visit to the districts to meet bereaved families, however maintained that he should abide by the decision of the party high command on his tour. Talking to the media after the Cabinet meeting, the minister said that Jagan’s father and late CM, YSR groomed all of them as staunch loyalists of the Indira Gandhi family and he would not think that Jagan would do anything that would hurt the Indira Gandhi family. Hoping that the party high command would take a positive decision on Jagan’s tour, he strongly believed that the MP would not go against the directions of the leadership.
The minister’s brother, Anam Vivekananda Reddy said the ‘Odarpu Yatra’ was a personal matter concerning Jagan and he would not like to comment on it.
