The final attempt of Jagan, son on late YSR to get permission from the congress party high command for his Odarpu Yatra seems to have failed. Enraged over the tough attitude of the party towards his tour, Jagan is gearing up to formulate his political future plan.
According to the news AICC president, Sonia Gandhi, has sent signals to the family of late YSR not to write letters to her in future as the wife of late YSR. Ms Vijayalakshmi, who is also MLA from Pulivendula, has written a letter to Sonia Gandhi seeking permission to her son’s consolation tour. With the Congress president’s snub, the proposed consolation tour of Jagan Mohan Reddy in Srikakulam district from June 8 hangs in balance.
The fact that majority of the MLAs, who were once his strong supporters, disowning him at the critical juncture, left the MP restless. Barring two ministers, others in the Rosaiah cabinet are not backing him. They were not daring to meet Jagan under the present political atmosphere.
It is heard that Jagan reportedly told his supporters that he would resign from the MP post if the party high command failed to permit him to resume his Odarpu Yatra in the Andhra region. “If the MP post is a hurdle to my consolation tour, I don’t want it”, he reportedly said.
He was firm on resuming his yatra come what may. Even if a single leader doesn’t accompany him, he would go ahead “alone”. Jagan was contemplating to use his ‘resignation threat’ as last weapon to make the high command give permission to his O Yatra
