Home minister should resign – Ch Vidyasagar Rao

BJP senior leader and former Union minister, Ch Vidyasagar Rao demanded that the Home Minister, Sabitha Indra Reddy resign to her post immediately owning moral responsibility to the Sompeta police firing incident.
Speaking to media personell on July 15 2010, Vidyasagar Rao said that the police behaved rudely towards the women at Sompeta. He wondered as to why the police behaved over-enthusiastically against the farmers.
He also faulted the government for allowing setting up of thermal power plant in Sompeta mandal against the wishes of the local population.
