T by-polls notification on July 2 2010

The notification for holding by-polls in 12 Assembly constituencies in Telangana, including Siricilla and Vemulawada segments, will be issued on July 2 2010.
Speaking to media, the chief electoral officer, IV Subba Rao said that by-polls would be held to 12 assembly constituencies on July 27 2010. Reminding that the election commission of India has earlier decided to conduct by-polls to only 10 Assembly segments, he said that the electoral rolls of the remaining two constituencies Sircilla and Vemulawada were also prepared along with 10 constituencies.
IV Subba Rao said that the electronic voting machines (EVMs) were also readied for the elections. “All the necessary measures would be taken for smooth conduct of the by-polls”, he added.
