Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao also known as KK, said that the formation of separate statehood of Telangana would be possible only with the ruling Congress party. He also asserted that the party would stand by its word regarding Telangana and would not make a u turn from the issue.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on July 22 2010 KK said that the Congress party would do justice to the Telangana. He said that the State government has convened an all-party meeting and sent proceedings to the Centre, but unfortunately the process is getting delayed due to the differences surfaced in the Congress and TDP.

He also urged the TDP and TRS to extend their support on the Telangana issue as the main Opposition in Parliament had already given its nod to the formation of Telangana issue.
