In his hand written suicide note, he stated that he was fulfilling his wish of self-immolation as all the 12 legislators, who had resigned from the Assembly for the cause of Telangana, were re-elected in the by-polls. Ishan also congratulated the people of the Telangana region and the TRS chief, KCR for ensuring the winning of 12 sitting legislators.

In his suicide note, he stated, “I wished before goddess Maisamma that I would sacrifice my life if DS and other Congress leaders are defeated in the by-pollsvand now that they are defeated, I am fulfilling my wish”.

Ishan, who hailed from Medak district, wanted that the Congress and TDP leaders like DS, Jana Reddy, Damodar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, K. Venkat Reddy, Kadiam Srihari, Nagam Janardhan Reddy and E Dayakar Rao be declared “traitors” of Telangana and hanged publicly.

During early hours, tension prevailed on the OU campus as the students resisted the attempts of the police to shift the body to the mortuary. In his suicide note, the deceased expressed his wish that no autopsy should be conducted on his body. He also wanted his body to be taken in a procession from the University to the Telangana martyrs’ memorial near the Assembly.
