Chicago T association, USA – I’day parade – in video

It has been a tradition for several years for the people of Indian Origin in Chicago celebrate our Independence day with great joy and pride. In US, this has been one of the largest parade every year to mark community strength and support for India.

CHITA is very proud to share with all fellow Telanganites about our first ever attempt in the US to take part in such a prestigious parade held on Devon Avenue in Chicago. CHITA is the first ever Telangana organization to showcase the VOICE OF TELANGANA to the larger sections of Indian living in Chicago and received tremendous support. We had a large float decorated with tri-colors and both Indian and US flags on each side of the float. We were joined by several volunteers, friends and supporters of Telangana voicing ‘Bharath Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans. We received amazing attention and encouragement from the long crowd standing on both sides of the road echoing their support.

Chicago Telangana Association (CHITA) takes the pride to be the first NRI Telangana team to represent the cause and voice of Telangana on a symbolic national platform outside India. CHITA is very committed to continue this tradition and rally much more stronger support through our representation on the national importance events celebrated in the USA. We also sincerely hope rest of our Telangana friends in other countries will follow this tradition to represent Telangana across our national events celebrated internationally.
