Fact is that both Non-violent approaches and violent are appropriate, depending on the mechanisms and tactics your opponent is using.
It is appropriate to use non-violent methods of civil disobedience as long as democratic and constitutionally accepted methods are used by Seemandhra administrators of the state.
When the Seemandhra administrators resort to killing and torture of the innocent in order to intimidate people of peaceful Telangana students and activists, it’s not a democratic state anymore; it’s a war zone, just like one country declaring war against another country.
When innocents are targeted and killed, at that moment “The rules of Engagement” change from a civilian democratic order to a military operation.
In war, one uses all means of brute force to take control over a province. They kill innocents, destroy
cities and town while under their occupation and also during in their retreat in their frustration even though it is illegal and unwarranted.
Hitler’s forces ruthlessly crushed civilians destroyed cities, villages, ethnic groups during World War 2 just to establish Nazi authority and occupation. Near end of the war in 1944, the German city – Dresden a cultural hub with mostly civilian population was filled with new refugees from other German cities in east as they came under attack from Soviet forces.
By now, the world came know about the magnitude of Nazi mass murders of civilians & innocents in the Holocaust as a result the City of Dresden was fire bombed by allied forces- Brits and Americans killing about 100,000 civilian inhabitants. Please find a related video
Dresden was targeted because the German war machine targed civilians in other nations and ethnic groups ignoring rules of engagement in war which clearly prohibit targeting innocent civilians.
Finally, what we have observed during the Telangana movement,
1. Seemandhra lobby wants to have total GRIP on Telangana wealth and resources now and also in future, even if it becomes a State. To achieve this objective they are using tactical methods. No laws or rules.
2. Seemandhra lobby in Telangana incites violence against each other in the name of religion, caste, political party, political ideologies etc.
3. In-fact they love to divide us 10 Telangana districts in to North, South, East, West and Central Telangana areas.
4. Intimidation of peaceful protesters by using state armed forces hired goondas for killing torturing nonviolent Telangana people – to suppress the movement.
Therefore, the use of violence or non-violence is not an unilateral action. It is rather reciprocal and bilateral in nature.
