OU Students fast until death, situation tense

The OU Students started the fast until death demanding the cancellation of AP Formation Day celebrations, the students in the Osmania University resorted to indefinite hunger strike. They warned the government that they would not hesitate to commit self-immolation and sacrifice their lives if it fails to cancel the official celebrations.
The OU students will be observing November 1 2010 as Telangana Vidroha Dinam and will be protesting in different ways and obstruct the AP Formation Day celebrations.
Prof. Kodandaram extended his solidarity with the fasting students, he deplored the government’s preparations for the State formation day celebrations when the State was poised for bifurcation.
Demanding cancellation of celebrations, Prof. Kodandaram appealed to the ministers, legislators and leaders of various political parties to keep off the celebrations.
