The Chief Minister, Rosaiah said that the Telangana supporters should rethink on their decision to disrupt the Andhra Pradesh State Formation Day Celebrations to be held on November 1. Speaking to the media persons in the Secretariat here, Rosaiah reminded that the State was formed on November 1 in 1956 and the formation day celebrations are being conducted every year since then.
Reminding that the State was still united, he pointed out that the Centre has setup Justice Srikrishna Committee to hold consultations on the situation in the State. The Committee has speeded up its work and need to submit its report to the Centre soon, he added. “I will abide by the decision of the Centre, which ever may be, on the Telangana statehood”, he made it clear.
There was no need to take to streets and develop enmity against the people of other regions, he opined. If bifurcation of the state has become inevitable, we should separate like friends, he added.
