Telangana 10k run by TAE, on Dec 19 2010

Telangana Academy of Excellence is organizing the “Telangana 10K Run” on November 21st 2010 to raise funds to support families of Telangana Martyrs across Telangana.

Objective of the Event:To raise funds through individual and corporate participation to support families of Telangana Martyrs across Telangana, who died for Telangana starting from Telangana Armed Struggle – 1948, Telangana Movement 1969 and Telangana Movement 2009-10. This event will run every year in winter to support a social cause & socio-economic change.

• We will select 20 families from each district of Telangana region and will distribute funds collected from the event.
• We are committed to bring out the hidden talent of runners from Telangana Rural Districts.
• We need your esteemed partnership with GR8Telangana, to make the event successfully.

About TAE:
“Telangana Academy of Excellence” is a registered non-political & not for profit organization with a registration number 243/2010 under Public Societies Registration Act 2001. TAE is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This provides certain exemptions from Income Tax for the donating/sponsoring parties. This exemption under the 80G has been granted by the director of Income Tax (Exemption). Telangana Academy of Excellence is also registered Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

TAE intends to create employable youth, promote social entrepreneurship and encourage young farmers by educating, training, creating of rural small scale industries with a zeal for the socio-economic development of Telanganites & eradicate poverty of Telanganites.

Telangana Academy of Excellence founded by Young Intellectuals, Professionals, & Research Scholars of Telangana origin with zeal to provide assistance to youth of Telangana in November 2009.

I. 10K Run – Pride Telangana – This is a competitive run of 10 km for prize money. Timing Chip is compulsory. Participants to be selected, approved and governed by local federation. All runners have to finish before 8:00 am else he/she will be counted as a pedestrian.

II. Corporate Run – This is a non-competitive run for 8 km without chip and open for all over 18 yrs. Only Corporate employees can participate in groups.

III. Fun Run – This is a non-competitive run for 5 km. It is open to all enthusiasts (of the age 12 years and above) – be it students, housewives or corporate executives. Participants can select an option to run in a colourful fancy dress as an individual or can run in groups with themes and positive messages for Telangana peacefully. 2 individuals and 1 group will be felicitated during the prize distribution.

The event will be attended by eminent personalities of academicia, scientific, industrial, Young Change Makers, Rural Athletes, Students, House Wives, etc.
