Cong & TDP T legislators, Chinks in the Armor of Telangana

Whole of Telangana population of 4 ½ crores of people have metamorphosised in to a colossal movement for statehood, except the miniscule section of elected legislators from Telangana Congress and TDP. This section is the chink in the formidable armor of Telangana state struggle. The enemies of Telangana State either the hostile andhras or the indifferent C-High command are adroitly using this chink to their advantage. The Congress Party and TDP have played their morbid hide and seek political games with Teangana people, using Telangana sentiment. And these elected reps. have become legislators because of the munificence of Telangana people. But, now, the T-TDP elements are in the vicious strangle hold of CBN, the abominable, bête noire of Telangana people. The T-Congress elements are hanging to the apron strings of impassive Madonna, Sonia Gandhi, whose family including her is the real cause for the present struggle.

Telangana people are not amused with the hollow bragging of T-TDP leaders or the intermittent ramblings of T-Congress leaders, to score points on TRS. They have tolerated their less than sanguine shenanigans for very long. Their primary duty for them is to serve the interests of Telangana people, as the sons of the soil not the interests who are inimical to Telangana.If they are doing it in the name of loyalty, it makes weird sense. Because, if there are elections within 6 months, their loyalty crumbles like dry leaves under the feet. More over where is the need to show loyalty to CBN who is the very embodiment of treachery. He has won all his seats in Telangana promising Telangana, and thwarted Telangana formation within 24 hours of the announcement.T-congress legislators also won their seats using Telangana card. Their leader Sonia Gandhi used Telangana sentiment all along, to gain power in Telangana and went back on her government’s announcement for state formation. And dragging on it heart lessly, while Telangana people are caught in a life and death struggle.

It is time for these legislators to understand the extra ordinary situation they are in. They need all their sagacity, to realize the historical importance of this moment in the history of Telangana people, and rise to the occasion to do their avowed duty. The predilections of their party future and future of their party leaders, getting credit for their party or for themselves etc., are very mundane things, do not merit consideration at this stage.

For T-TDP legislators to go along with CBN is un-ethical and untenable. The TDP history proves that CBN is an incorrigible anathema to Telangana. His treachery to Telangana is unforgivable. He has no place in Telangana politics.T-TDP legislators can come out of TDP, cleanly severing their umbilical cords and join the bandwagon of Telangana struggle,whole heartedly. They can form a political party of their own even if they do not like to do anything with TRS.They will have a bright political future. If they hang on to CBN legacy, it would be an albatross around their neck, and will prove to be a political ‘hara-kiri’ in the end.

For T-Congress legislators, this is a life time’s opportunity. They can create history by throwing their weight with Telangana people. There is no need for them to be afraid of the numbers on the other side, constraint for being in the ruling party, party discipline, loyalty etc., They know too well that congress party is the root cause for Telangana misery. They have a responsibility to make amends for it. The time has arrived. They are in a vantage position to help Telangana people. If they let go this situation, it will be their political death. There is no need for them to form a separate party. They should unite in to one solid pressure group and demand for creation of Telangana state in the coming budget session of parliament. They should not baulk at biased threats of their party. They should imbibe the spirit of entire Telangana people and represent them with out, fear or favor.Their high command also cannot do much to them. Their political future is fully assured, if they are on the side of Telangana people.

Whole of Telangana population have built assiduously a massive campaign. These estranged legislators have to just walk in to it.Telangana people are prepared to take them in as the proverbial prodigal sons. Just because they are not there Telangana struggle will not stop. It rolls on relentlessly till it achieves its separate state. If they come in, the armor of Telangana would be full and becomes impregnable without any chinks. If they continue to be recalcitrant and support the unscrupulous acts of their political bosses against Telangana, they will be treated as enemy no.1 and face the ire of Telangana people.
