OU JAC calls for bandh on Jan 7 2011

The OU JAC has called for a bandh in the Telangana in protest of the SKC report not having a clear and straight forward view on the separate statehood of Telangana and the recomendations that the SKC has given.
There have been stone pelting incidents in the OU campus resulting in injuries to scores od people, students and policemen were injured, The policemen fired rubber bullets at the students.
A student leader talking to the media said that, The Telanganites are in no mood to listen or see the options that the SKC has recommended, The Telanganites are only looking at only one option and it is “Separate Statehood of Telangana, with Hyderabad as its capital”.
