OU tense again, students arrested

The Osmania University students today planned on a rally in the campus demanding that a Telangana bill should be tabled in the parliament in the upcoming budget session.
The students raised anti-govt and pro-telangana slogans. The students started out the rally and wanted to go towards the tarnaka cross roads, the policemen tried to obstruct the students and then started the situation to be tensed with students and policemen arguing and pushing each other.
The policemen had to resort to lathicharge to desperse the protesting students. Many students were injured and have been arrested and taken to different police stations.
With the reaction of the students and sudden planning of the rally, the police force are on alert and are having posted extra police force around the campus surroundings.
