T Cong leaders blinkered loyalty to Sonia is political stupidity

Politics is not personal. It is a business. It is the business of welfare of people. Loyalty to individuals and families is a feudal phenomenon. The T- Congress MPs & MLA’s loyalty to Sonia Gandhi even at the detriment of Telangana people is a paradoxical behavior. It smacks off their political immaturity or political incompetence. In politics loyalty has its place, as long as it is not in tangent with the welfare of people. When the loyalty is working against the interests of the people, it changes its meaning. It will be called political perfidy. It will be worse than the treachery to an individual. Here you are indulging in treachery to lakhs of people you are representing and prolonging their agony some times over generations.The implications of your perfidy on the lives of people you are representing is enormous and many times, the damage is irreparable.

This is exactly what is happening in case of Telangana struggle. Sonia Gandhi apart from herself indulging in political brinkmanship on Telangana for the last several years is representing Nehru/Gandhi family, who is the cause and effect of Telangana peoples’ agony for the last 54 years and are the progenitors of this Telangana struggle. Telangana Congress elements were always loyal to Nehru/Gandhi family. But this family has taken Telangana people for a vicarious ride and always deceived them. Even in this present episode of their treachery to Telangana people, the role of Sonia Gandhi is clearly understood by a middle school student in Telangana.Then how this MPs and MLAs, who are so clever to amass a great deal of wealth with in no time, during their tenure (at least most of them), cannot understand this?

The Congress Party Which is the root cause for Telangana Struggle is playing duplicitous to downright dictatorial politics on Telangana for the last 54 years. The present chapter is more poignant, because more than 600 youth have sacrificed their lives; it is also more deceptive, because Sonia Government has announced the initiation of process of Telangana state and went back on it. She also appointed a fake SKC and queered the pitch for Telangana deliberately and now trying to procrastinate on it for ever. Sonia Gandhi wants to drag Telangana issue till 2014 elections and consider Telangana depending on the outcome of 2014 elections, if Congress Party is in the reckoning at that time. This is the height of hypocrisy of Congress Party. Hypocrisy and deception were always the by words of Congress Party in regard to Telangana.One cannot think that T-MPs & MLAs are so imbecile, to understand this.

Telangana people with the leadership of JAC, TRS, Students, folk artists/singers, intellectuals, professionals etc., have done everything under the sun to project their avowed desire for Telangana State. The SKC also despite its ‘ajeeb and gareeb’ report, have recommended only feasible option of restoring Telangana state prior to 1956. All other options are ridiculous and utterly un implementable and reflect the wish list of Seemandhra politicians. In such circumstances, Telangana people are demanding T-Congress MPs and MLAs to resign from their posts to force Congress high command to take a favorable decision for Telangana state, before the commencement of ensuing budget session of parliament. But our Legislators have no moral courage to do that. Though the outcome is crystal clear to them, they want to play the very same politically impotent game of slavish submission to Sonia Gandhi. It is an embarrassing paradox and raises basic question of political maturity of these elements even after 60 years of democratic political experience. It also raises questions about their democratic credentials as the descendents of Telangana ‘sayudha porata yodhulu’. It may also need a ‘psychiatric study’ on this imbeciles, for their odd behavior opposed to the heroic spirit of rest of Telangana population.

These curs should know that these resignations are a political weapon to force Congress Party to act on its earlier announcement, by way of introducing a bill in the ensuing budget session of parliament. If they wait as they profess, till the Parliament session and resign ( It is doubtful if they are really going to do it even at that time), it is like ‘bolting the stable after the horses have left’ and they are simply becoming the party to the duplicitous game of Congress Party to take the issue beyond budget session to enable them to procrastinate on it and keep Telangana people in eternal agony. This bizarre situation makes the stupidity of our politicians all the more quixotic. This kind of silly loyalty had perpetuated the agony of Telangana people in the past and it will do the same even now also.

It is time for T-congress MPs and MLAs to exhibit some political potency and come to the rescue of Telangana people to put a full stop to their perennial agony.
