The SKC report has been made public, it has listed six options and then itself rules out its first three options.
Here are the below options.
- Option 1: Keep Andhra Pradesh as United with 3 development boards.
- Option 2: Rayal-Telangana as a seperate State.
- Option 3: Hyderabad, MahabubNagar, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy districts combined as greater Hyderabad and make Hyderabad as Union Territory with common capital to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as seperate state.
- Option 4: Telangana as Seperate state with Hyderabad as capital.
- Option 5: United Andhra Pradesh as is.
- Option 6. Keeping the State united by simultaneously providing certain definite Constitutional/Statutory measures for socio-economic development and political empowerment of Telangana region – creation of a statutorily empowered Telangana Regional Council.
After listing these, the commission has rejected the three as not being practical. Options it favoured are 3,4, 6 of the above are thus the options that the report presents as possible solutions to the Telangana issue.
