Imperialistic force’s gimmicks fall flat before T Movement

The Telangana Joint Action Committee, as a part of the Non-Cooperation Movement has blocked all the major roads across the region. Even in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, sea of people showed their demand for separate state by blocking the busy Secunderabad Paradise Circle, RTC Cross Roads, Uppal and LB Nagar ring roads to mention a few. While this was going on, a few people—youngsters and women—joined their hands and stood in a chain, calling it to be human chain, for the assault on Lok Satta Party President and only MLA of the party, Jaya Prakash Narayana.

For a minute, a series of things that flashed in my mind, made me think ‘oh, this is politics perhaps’. Among the pictures that scrolled under screens of my retina, the young doctors I saw, Taslima Nasreen I saw, the Osmania and Kakatiya University students I saw. O women, dear students and fellow doctors…this is the democracy…no human chains, no tears and no talks for you…as they have been reserved for the democratic politicians, who endorse president’s rule. Hail the people stretching the hands for the leader! And not for the fellow beings.

Though even I condemn the attack on JP, I still have a set of questions, which I am asking the people who took part in the formation of human chain holding big banners, on which it was written, save democracy…and stuff like that.

What happened to the human chains and designed flexis when a woman was attacked by a group of a political party leaders? The junior doctors in the city were attacked once, what happened to the big lectures then? Were muted by your busy lives I guess. And why no demonstrations when blood of future generation fell on the campus grounds?

Whereas, these couple of questions were engaging me during my busy schedule, astonishingly, uttered a gentleman that people were supporting attacks in the name of sentiments? The man, who failed to draw a seat twice from his own place talks foul of sentiments now. In fact, none supported the assault dear sir, but questioned as to why the big talks on democracy were buried under the vocal chords when canes were banged hard on the spines of the young Indians.

Every other day I notice the innovate methods that Andhra imperialistic forces are adopting for diverting the Telangana cause. However, all their tricks and gimmicks will undoubtedly fall flat before the struggle for T, reason being so simple that it’s not just sentiments that resulted in movement, but the inequality, injustice and discrimination being faced by the people of Telangana.
