Mallesh anna released

The Legislative Assembly adopted a motion for release of M Mallesh, who attacked Lok Satta member Jaya Prakash Narayana, in its premises, and who was in the remand for the last 45 days.

After the attack on JP at Media Point in the premises of the Legislative Assembly, the Police produced Mr Mallesh, who was the car driver of TRS floor leader, Eetela Rajender, before the Deputy Speaker, N Manohar. The Deputy Speaker ordered for remand of Mallesh until the end of the budget session for his action which attracts breach of privilege of the house.

Speaking in the house, the CPI floor leader, G Mallesh felt that Mallesh was punished more than what he deserved for his mistake. The Chair should show mercy on Mallesh and release him immediately. The MIM floor leader, Akbaruddim Owaisi said that a poor man Mallesh has been made a scapegoat and the MLAs involved in the incidents were not punished yet. The car driver should be freed. He urged the Deputy Speaker for speedy completion of the inquiry into the incidents and pin-pointing the big men who provoked the Car driver.

Following it, the Minister for Legislative Affairs, D Sridhar Babu moved the motion for release of Mallesh. He said that Mallesh has committed grave offence by attacking the members in the premises of the house and he was ordered for 45 days remand.

Later, the Deputy Speaker has announced that the motion has been carried.
