Rail Roko got huge response, it is a success

The trains were halted at all the places in Telangana, Rail traffic was thrown out of gear after the South Central Railways was forced to cancel 23 Express trains coming from various parts to the state capital following the Rail Roko. The cancellation of the MMTS services also caused immense inconvenience to inter-city commuters.

Many trains were cancelled by the South Central Railways that include AP Express, Satavahana Express, Palnad Express, Golkonda Express, Simhapuri Express, Gautami Express and Shirdi Sainagar Express.

The Telanganites setup tents on the tracks and cooked food and had their breakfast and lunch on the tracks, events programmes were organised on the tracks. At places the policemen were mere spectators.

We whole heartedly thank everyone who have been involved directly indirectly in the Rail Roko who made the Rail Roko a huge success. The news were coming in saying that this is the first of its kind of Rail Roko in the history of the Telangana in which every section of the people participated in thousands voluntarily.
