Telangana advocates boycott courts

The Telangana advocates boycotted the courts on Monday in protest against the daylight murder of advocate Ashok Reddy at Serilingampally MRO office on Saturday.The advocates have also decided not to defend the killers of Ashok Reddy. The advocates abstained from the High Court, Nampally criminal courts and Ranga Reddy district court.

Meanwhile, a delegation of representatives of advocates associations called on the Director General of Police, Mr K Aravinda Rao, and urged him to have the advocate Ashok Reddy murder case investigated by special police teams rather than the local police. They also submitted a memorandum to the DGP seeking arrest of those surrendered to the police as well as those behind the barbaric murder. Later, the advocate associations’ leaders said that the DGP has written to the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to depute a special team to investigate the Ashok Reddy murder case. (NSS)
