TRS wants Sri Ram Sagar water for T

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) urged the state government to release waters from the Sri Ram Sagar Project to Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal districts, to meet the drinking and the irrigation needs of the people.

Led by the TRS Floor Leader in the state Assembly Etela Rajender, a delegation of TRS MLAs met the Chief Minister in his chambers in the Assembly, and submitted a memorandum asking him to release the Sri Ram Sagar Project water to the 3 districts.

Rajender told media persons that the Chief Minister had assured the delegation that he would take a decision on the release of the waters by Thursday evening, after consulting the ministers and engineers concerned.

The TRS leader also stated that his party’s President, K Chandrasekhar Rao, had asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Unit President G Kishen Reddy and MLA Y Lakshminarayana to vote in favour of the TRS candidate Mahmood Ali in the elections to the Legislative Council.
