‘Chandi Yagam’ for formation of Telangana

TRS chief, KCR will perform ‘Chandi Yagam’ at the Gandipet farm house of A Jitender Reddy, who switched over to TRS from the Telugu Desam, to invoke the blessings of Maha Shakthi for speedy realisation of a Telangana state and also ensure the well-being of the people of Telangana. The Yagam will be held for three days beginning April 14.

Briefing newsmen on the executive meet, Chandrasekhar Rao recalled the initially days of the party. “When we launched the party, several people had predicted that it would die in its infancy. But today, proving them wrong, it has grown in strength and is very close to achievening its goal of a separate Telangana state,” Chandrasekhar Rao said.

The executive had decided to bring pressure on the general manager of the South Central Railway for withdrawal of cases against Telangana activists involved in the recent rail roko agitation.
