Eggs hurled at Sabitha and Jaipal
News pulse, Politics | admin | April 17, 2011 at 4:35 pmIn a major embarrassment for Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Jaipal Reddy and state home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Telangana supporters hurled eggs at both of them during a public meeting in Hyderabad on Sunday.
The separate statehood of Telangana supporters, demanding the creation of a separate Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh, hurled eggs at Jaipal Reddy and Sabitha Indra Reddy to vent their ire on their perceived ‘failure’ to take up their cause at the national level.
In their bid to stop the commotion, the police scuffled with the Telangana supporters and arrested several of them. They were dragged, beaten black and blue.
