In a shock to Sri Lankan crikcet board, the fast bowler Lasith Malinga announced his retirement from Test cricket, saying that it would prolong his ODI and Twenty20 career.

It looks like Malinga is all set to fight back the Sri Lankan cricket boards decision to call Malinga who is playing in IPL. Earlier Malinga said that he was not interested in playing tests because of his knee injury.

It has to be noted that Malinga who said he has knee injury should not be playing IPL, but he is playing the IPL.

“I have carefully considered my options and have decided that not playing Test cricket will help me achieve my goal of representing Sri Lanka in the 2012 World Twenty20 and the 2015 World Cup,” Malinga said in a statement.

After the decision of Malinga, the Sri Lankan cricket board seems to have looking for options to change the decision of Malinga.
