Keshav Rao appealed to the state Endowments Minister, Jupally Krishna Rao, to withdraw his resignation (submitted earlier to party president Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in support of Telangana agitation). “Resignations are nothing. If we feel that Telangana will come by resignations, let us resign together. For now, he should withdraw his resignation.” Replying to a query, he said the Chief Minister’s comments in Chittoor district that it was more backward than some districts in Telangana was unfortunate.

Meanwhile, Congress MLC K Yadava Reddy said the Telangana Journalists Forum planned to hold meetings and seminar in Delhi against the eighth chapter of the committee report. All parties had extended support to the Forum and the Congress would also support it fully, he said. Telangana Joint Action Committee’s M Kodandaram had earlier announced that the proposed seminar in Delhi would be conducted, tentatively, on April 21, 22 and 23.
