KCR said that centre has the responsibility to respect the democratic aspirations of Telangana people. I appeal to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to form Telangana immediately.
KCR said, central govt has made promises to form Telangana state twice earlier. Once, at the time of 2004 general elections, and in 2009 when I undertook fast-unto-death. If you (Centre) have confidence in democracy, then you should table a bill in Parliament for separate Telangana”.
The TRS President said he would tour the ten districts of Telangana in May to strengthen the party organisation ahead of the local civic bodies polls. Rao was elected as the TRS President for a fresh term unanimously on the occasion. Senior party leader Nayini Narasimha Reddy, who functioned as the Election Officer, announced it.
