Writ petition filed against Centre

A writ petition was filed in the AP High Court on Monday seeking a direction to declare as the illegal the inaction of the Centre in not taking any steps for the formation of separate Telangana after an announcement on December 9, 2009.
Captain Lingala Panduranga Reddy, a resident of the city filed the writ contending that the inaction of the Centre was violative to the Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution.The petitioner urged the court to direct the Centre to take immediate steps to introduce the Bill in Parliament for separation of Telangana.
