Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy called on Home Minister P Chidambaram and made representation to settle Hyderabad free zone issue. Chief Minister is said to have met Home minister before returning to Hyderabad and appealed to either modify or cancel Clause 14F of presidential order.
He said that due to clause 14F controversy it has become difficult for the state to conduct written examinations for Sub Inspector Recruitment.
As per the clause 14F of presidential order Hyderabad has been given free zone status with regard to police recruitment.
Pro-Telangana people demand that this part of the presidential order is deleted as it would cause injustice to Telangana candidates.
In view of warning given by Telangana supporters the government has not yet fixed the date for Sub Inspector Recruitment exam.
