he Communist Party of India (CPI) on Saturday demanded the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre to table a Bill for carving out Telangana in the forthcoming session of Parliament.

This is needed to clear the misgiving on the appointment of the second States Reorganisation Commission which the Congress perhaps intends to cause delay in formation of the separate State.

Addressing a press conference here, CPI floor leader in the Assembly Gunda Mallesh also demanded a special formula to control corruption. He said the Lok Pal Bill should not be delayed in the interest of curbing corruption.

The CPI leader said his party would organise praja poru yatras between June 4 and 15 to pressurise the government on Telangana Bill, check corruption and national status for Pranahita project. The yatras to start from Hatti in Kerameri mandal of Adilabad and Bhadrachalam in Khammam will culminate in a public meeting at Nizam college grounds in Hyderabad. CPI general secretary A.B. Bardhan and others will participate, he added.
