The endowment minister, Mr Jupally Krishna Rao, agreed to temporarily suspend his padayatra for four days and wait for the Congress plan to achieve Telangana. He came out of the Pebbair police station on Sunday evening after duly submitting a personal security to the police officials. The minister agreed to suspend his tour only after a PCC delegation led by senior party leader, Mr Pitla Krishna, held a marathon meeting with him in the police station premises.

The minister had announced that he will resume the padayatra from the same point where it was forcibly stopped by the police on account of law and order problem when the followers of the information minister, Ms D.K. Aruna, threatened to stop him physically. Earlier in the day, the PCC chief, Mr D. Srinivas, deputed a delegation led by Mr Pitla Krishna and former MP, Mr D. Vittal Rao, to go and talk to Mr Jupally and ensure that he withdraws from the Pebbair police station where he was staying with his followers since Saturday protesting against the police and party activists.
