Sack Jagan’s brok(th)ers

Reiterating his charge that Komatireddy brothers were coverts of the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Telangana Congress senior leader, Mr Palvai Govardhan Reddy,has demanded that the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, sack the Minister for Infrastructure and Investments, Ports, Airports and Natural Gas, Mr Komatireddy Venkat Reddy from his Cabinet.

Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Tuesday, Mr Palvai asserted that many leaders were resorting to weaken the party while enjoying power and positions. He said that the people and Congress cadre know very well about Mr Jagan’s coverts in the Congress party, but the Chief Minister was not in a position to believe this fact.He said that the Chief Minister should be careful about the Komatireddy brothers because they were sending their followers to Mr Jagan and earning bucks.

Alleging that it was bad to give Rs 1,000-crore contract to the Bhongir MP, Mr Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy,who was not in a position to complete even Rs Two crore worth works, Mr Palvai said that Mr Rajagopal Reddy was putting EPC without completing his works. Alleging that Mr Rajagopal Reddy had never completed any work, he said that his Sushi Company had given up the works midway without completing the Mid-Maner works and due to this the estimation of works escalated by Rs 125 crores more. He demanded that the government order a probe to unmask those behind the episode.

He alleged that Mr Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was threatening the contractors, who were constructing private ports as a Ports Minister for money. He said that Mr Venkat Reddy, being in the government, has become a big supporter to Mr Jagan and was encouraging the ZPTC, MPPs and MPTS of Nalgonda district to join YSR Congress Party.He also said that as an in-charge minister of Adilabad district, Mr Venkat Reddy incited the senior Congress leader, Mr Indrakaran Reddy, to join hands with Mr Jagan.

Demanding that the Chief Minister sack Mr Venkat Reddy from the Cabinet, Mr Palvai said that Mr Venkat Reddy was not a person to change his attitude and it was good for the Congress Party to sack him from the Cabinet.

When asked about the evidences against Mr Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Mr Palvai said that one has to think about the assets of Mr Venkat Reddy in 2004 and now. He said that Mr Venkat Reddy had announced that he bought MLA ticket from late Dr YSR by paying Rs 25 lakhs. He also alleged that Mr Rajagopal Reddy was a petty contractor and Dr YSR had given him Bhongir MP ticket and said that the people have to think what happens when a contractor becomes an MP. One has to see whether the Chief Minister initiates action or not against Komatireddy brothers.

Responding to a query, Mr Palvai said that Mr Rajagopal Reddy was silent about Telangana issue till he got the pre-closure of a contract. “Mr Rajagopal Reddy raised his voice on Telangana once the pre-closure was over”, he alleged.

When asked about action against Mr Jagan, Mr Palvai said that one day Mr Jagan will go to jail like the DMK leader, Mr A Raja. Mr Jagan was earning assets like the Reliance Group utilizing loopholes, he said, adding that the Central government and CBI was probing into the assets of Mr Jagan and how he got that much. Exuding confidence that the creation of separate Telangana was inevitable, Mr Palvai warned the leaders of Telangana, who were joining YSR Congress Party, have to face the ire of Telangana people on some day. He made it clear that the people of Telangana would not allow Mr Jagan to tour in Telangana region at any cost.

Responding to another query, Mr Palvai said that Second SRC was needed in case of Uttar Pradesh to study the creation of borders if the State was bifurcated. But in case of Telangana, the borders of Telangana and Seemandhra were very clear and there was no need of Second SRC, he added. He said that the Telangana Congress leaders would launch the Telangana movement in June second week if the Centre failed to announce a statement on Telangana issue. He said that the TDP’s true colors came out on Telangana issue with Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy episode. He said that the people of Telangana were not in a position to believe in TDP anymore regarding Telangana issue.
