Cong T MPs to meet PM

Congress MPs from Telangana in Andhra Pradesh will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tomorrow demanding statehood to the region.The MPs will meet the Prime Minister at 5.30 pm in Delhi, Congress MP G Vivek talking to the media said.

“They are fully aware of the situation. It is not a new agenda. All of us will put forth our views,” he said.Party MPs, Ministers, MLAs and other leaders are also scheduled to meet senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee on June 15 to present their case.”This is the last phase of our talks. Congress MPs, Ministers, MLAs and others are going to Delhi on June 9 and 10.

We will meet top party leaders. If we don’t get a statement say by June 25, we will be constrained to opt for a direct action,” Congress Rajya Sabha member K Keshav Rao had earlier said at a meeting.Asked whether they would quit their posts in case no positive response came from the Centre, he said they were ready to do anything.
