Cong T politicians to launch hunger strike from July 5

Telangana Congress MPs and other leaders have decided to launch an indefinite hunger strike from July 5 to put pressure on the Centre to carve out a separate Telangana state.
This was conveyed to the media by the Peddapalli MP, Mr G. Vivek on Sunday. Mr Vivek said that if necessary, Telangana MPs and other leaders will also quit their posts to force the Centre to act on the statehood issue. He appealed to the ministers from Telangana region to put pressure on the Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to support the Telangana cause.
Mr Vivek said that Congress leaders and public representatives from Telangana region will participate in a meeting to be convened at Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad on July 1 to discuss the future course of action on Telangana issue.
