Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday called upon people of the region to unitedly launch another freedom struggle-like agitation for achieving separate State, as it was the only solution for all the problems facing them.

Addressing a public meeting at Nelvalapalli, in Chintapalli mandal of Devarakonda Assembly constituency, on Tuesday night he said on its part the TRS would not relent in its struggle. He himself would be ready for a supreme sacrifice. While criticising the Congress Ministers and legislators for blocking the formation of Telangana, Mr. Rao pointed out that the Telugu Desam could not escape the blame. He said if the State was formed, the TRS would develop Devarakonda area, set apart 12 per cent reservations for tribal people and make a Dalit the Chief Minister. There would be more posts, employment opportunities and seats in educational institutions.

At the meeting over 500 activists of the Congress, Telugu Desam and CPI, including Nelvalapalli Sarpanch Gurram Jagan, joined the TRS in the presence of Mr. Rao. Polit Bureau members of TRS K. Yadagiri Reddy, G. Jagadishwar Reddy, Nalgonda district unit president B.Narender Reddy were among those who attended.

Earlier, Mr. Rao offered special poojas at Saibaba temple in Chintapalli. Villagers of Nelvalapalli, including colourfully dressed lambada women, accorded a warm welcome to the TRS leaders.
