KU to be renamed to Jayashankar University?

In an talk with the media, Shankar Rao, the textiles Minister said that he had forwarded a proposal to rename the Kakatiya University in Warangal district after Telangana leader Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar who passed away on June 21 2011.
It has to be remembered that Shankar Rao had to face the ire of the Telangana supporters. My be Shankar Rao is trying to get sympathy of the Telangana supporters by making a media statement about the rebnaming of KU to Jayashankar University.
Stating that the attack on him was unpardonable, the Minister informed that leaders of other political parties also condemned it.
He is understood to have received calls from overseas condemning the attack incident.
