The efforts of political leaders notwithstanding, students resumed their protests seeking Telangana state in OU and Kakatiya Universities on Thursday. The Telangana students from the The Kakatiya University spearheaded by Student JAC launched a fast unto death seeking the tabling of Telangana bill in Parliament in the next session. Five student leaders took part in the fast and several JACs extended solidarity to the struggle.

The student community demanded that the additional security forces be withdrawn from the district. They alleged that the police forces were deployed only to scuttle the efforts of the Telanganites. These forces were pressed in in the rural and urban parts directed by the Sri Krishna Committee eighth chapter proposals, the student leaders alleged.

In Osmaina university too the students in general and the SI candidates in particular resumed the stir and launched the fast unto death demanding the withdrawal of 14 F clause.
