TJAC deadline ends, T-Cong politicians to wait till June 30
News pulse, Politics | admin | June 25, 2011 at 6:12 amThe deadline set by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee for legislators to resign, ends on Saturday and there is confusion among MLAs of the Congress and the Telugu Desam about what they should do next.
Telangana Congress MPs, MLAs and ministers who met the Congress core committee members a few days ago in Delhi, have denied that there will be any resignations, as the finance minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, has assured them that within a week he will bring the Telangana issue to the notice of the party president.
But the one week has also gone by with no action from the central leadership. MPs Mr Madhu Yashki Gowd and Mr G. Vivekanand had told mediapersons in Delhi that they will wait for a response till June 30, after which they will sit together again and decide the future course of action, including an indefinite fast. Surprisingly, on Friday morning, only four Congress MPs turned up at the residence of Mr G. Vivekanand to discuss the situation. They later told news persons that the next meeting of the T-Congress leaders will be convened on July 1 to take stock of the situation.
Meanwhile, the Telangana TD Leaders’ Forum on Friday made it clear that they are ready to resign but put a rider that legislators and MPs from the Congress, TRS, and BJP should also resign on the same day to create a constitutional crisis. Who should resign first and what should be done next is the question haunting leaders of various parties.

What was the action proposed by JAC if MLAs and MPs not resign by deadline? Why there is no action from JAC?
Is there any 9th Chapter from Chetta committee on how to handle JAC and TRS? Are JAC and TRS are succumbed to these tactics? What happened in the last two months? Where is the civil war?
