Jagan, doing a CBN on Telangana

“Jagan says the Centre should take a right decision. By putting the onus on the Centre, he is trying to escape his responsibility. Jagan was only doing a Chandrababu Naidu,” TRS MLA T Harish Rao told reporters here.

“Jagan says he can neither give Telangana, nor block its formation and it is for the Centre to take a decision. This is nothing but firing the bullet by putting the gun on the shoulders of the Centre,” he added.

Facing the heat over the statehood demand, Jagan, President of YSR Congress, today said his outfit “respects the sentiment” of Telangana people and demanded that the Centre should immediately take a “right decision” on the contentious issue.

“We respect the sentiment of Telangana people, but we are neither in a position to grant statehood, nor block it,” he said.

“It is for the central government to take a right decision, that will not harm the interests of the people of different regions (of Andhra Pradesh),” Jagan said, delivering the valedictory address at the two-day plenary of his new party at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district this afternoon.

Training his guns on TDP, the TRS leader alleged that the main opposition adopted one policy in Telangana and another policy in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

“TDP Telangana leaders have quit their posts. That is good. They are doing a ‘bus yatra’ in Telangana. But their counterparts in non-Telangana regions are doing a ‘padayatra’ for united AP,” he said.
