KTR slams Kavuri for opposing T state

Speaking to mediapersons here, the TRS supremo’s son has lambasted the Seemandhra leaders for miserably failing to develop then Andhra State on par with Chennai after its de-merger with then Madras Provincial State in 1953 and caused unrest to Potti Sriramulu’s soul who had sacrificed his life for separate Andhra State.

Stating that Potti Sriramulu remains an ideal for the suppressed people of Telangana, Mr KTR described Mr Kavuri Sambasiva Rao as a colonialist and not an integrationist. He said that Mr Kavuri has no moral right to speak on nation’s integrity as he does not know history. The MP’s utterances were like the “devils quoting scriptures”, he commented.

Stating that the mass resignations by the Congress MPs and MLAs have awakened the Centre on the Telangana issue, Mr Rama Rao said that the people in the Seemandhra region were not supporting the cry for integration by a few selfish capitalists like Mr Rajagopal and Mr Kavuri. He asserted that the Seemandhra capitalists were bent upon sabotaging prospects of Telangana State for protecting their selfish interests only. Alleging that Mr Kavuri’s remarks were meant to insult and provoke the people of Telangana, Mr KTR said the former was misleading the people for his selfish motives. He also charged the Seemandhra Congress leaders with pursuing capitalism and opportunism.

The TRS leader also demanded an unconditional apology from the Seemandhra speakers who spoke ill of the people of Telangana in the Visalandhra Mahasabha convened in New Delhi the other day. He also dubbed those who spoke against the Telanganaites as pseudo-intellectuals.
