KTR urges President to form T state
News pulse, Politics | admin | July 6, 2011 at 7:31 pmTRS chief, KCR’s son and TSR MLA KTR requested President Pratibha Patil to direct the Central government to deliver the separarte statehood of Telangana state at the earliest, talking to the media at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad KTR said the President, as part of her state tour has been camping in Hyderabad for the past two days and she is aware of the protests by the activists for separate Telangana state.
KTR recalled that in 2004, the then President APJ Abdul Kalam had promised Telangana state in his Presidential address to the joint parliament session. “We therefore urge the President to implement the earlier promise made by Kalam on Telangana,” KTR said.
