OU JAC to storm Assembly

The Osmania University Joint Action Committee has reportedly taken a decision to storm the Legislative Assembly complex on July 15 to exert pressure on the Speaker, Mr Nadendla Manohar, to accept the resignations of the Congress legislators of the Telangana region immediately.

The OU JAC leaders have also decided to enforce bandh of educational institutions on Wednesday in support of the mass hunger strike launched by the students on the campus. They also announced their support to the Rail Roko programme planned by the Telangana Political JAC.

Meanwhile, the fast-unto-death launched by the Osmania students for the cause of separate Telangana State on the campus entered second day on Tuesday.

According to reports reaching here, the separatists participated in large numbers in the Vanta-Varpu (cooking on the roads) programme in all the nine districts in the region. Vanta Varpu programme was also taken up in the Ramagundam coal mines in Karimnagar district. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders and women participated in the programme in large numbers.
