Our politicians and their masters in Delhi

Telangana politicians (read as congress I politicians) once again have returned empty handed from New Delhi. Their high command has completely ignored them and their resignations and their ‘threats’ instead some of the senior leaders on the behest of HC had even yelled at T cong leaders (reportedly) and talked toughly one of the senior most leaders even said ‘why you people came here go and face by elections’. The misery is, our leaders how senior they may be, can’t even get an appointment with the ‘supermom’ to express the anguish and the situation in Telangana. Whereas Seemandhra leaders can meet with anybody at anytime including the supermom and Amul baby, Dadas and Patels. The humiliation faced by T congress leaders is evident that what are we in the eyes of Congress high command.

The union govt. had constituted a committee to study the situation in the state, which took a year to do its dirty work and submitted a biased report almost 7 months ago, till date no action has been taken on that report or the promised made to the people of Telangana on the night of 9th Dec. is being fulfilled or realised. The very home minister, who made the announcement of initiating the process of formation of a separate of Telangana, has changed his tone and talking like a military dictator and taking U turns from his original announcement. This is evident that, the union govt. Is not in a mood to solve the issue but to drag it and undermine the importance of the issue, believing in ‘as the time passes people will forget Telangana’. The congress high command’s attitude and behaviour towards Telangana congress leaders was so insulting and abusive, initially nobody from the HC wanted even to give an appointment to the more than 100 people’s representatives who resigned from their positions to press on their HC for a separate state. The HC neither care the entire AP nor the Telangana people or their aspirations. The congress party seems so sure that they can ‘manage’, ‘handle’ T leaders easily hence can completely ignore the Telangana and its voter. This has been expressed in the past 7 years by action if not verbal. Despite having largest no. Of congress MPs from the state, the entire AP leaders got nothing in terms of ministerial berths, getting new projects from the central govt. For the state or funds etc. the humiliation these leaders faced at their HC office, was not just for them, but congress party has literally humiliated the four and a half crore Telangana people.

The congress high command had forgotten that it is the same Ghulam N Azad who pitched the alliance with the help of late YSR with TRS and promised Telangana. It is the same congress party and its HC made the president to refer the T issue in his address to the joint parliamentary session. It is the same congress party promised Telangana in election manifesto and got elected to power. The people of Telangana voted congress in to power expecting and trusting that congress will be in power in state and at centre will make it easy to carve out the state. But poor souls had been cheated brutally by the party, yet the elected public representatives always praiseworthy of their HC. They seem forgot that the mandate give is for 5 years and the countdown has already started, and they need the mandate to get renewed. Are they in a position to go to the Telanganite again asking a re-election? The answer is yes, they will definitely come (shamelessly) by giving lame excuses, but are we ready to vote for them? The answer is with us, we know how to respond.

But, next elections are a bit far, what should we do now? We all know the answer.

Strengthen every single individual / organisation / group / JAC and agitate against the govt. Press the govt. To take a final decision on the separation. Today’s agitation is not just agitation or the demand of a mere 11 or 12 legislature of a particular party, the agitation has transformed in to a revolution as irrespective of cast creed sex religion and age every single person of Telangana is participating and is indeed for a separate state.

Delay, inaction and ignorance are in the blood of Congress party. The country is facing plenty of problems due to this dilly dallying policy of congress. We may not be preparing for a election for now but do not forget whenever there is such a situation what we should do.
