Manohar, who is here on an official visit, said he would also consult Constitutional and legal experts on how to deal with the resignations of 101 legislators, who put in their papers last week.
“I came from the United States only now. I am here to attend a SAARC conference. I have heard that some Andhra Pradesh legislators have resigned. I would go into the issue after I reach Hyderabad,” he told a press conference here.
He said no decision on this issue would be taken in a hurried manner.
“I will seek the opinion of Constitutional and legal experts. I would listen to their suggestions and will also consult experienced people in the state,” he said.
Manohar said before taking a call on the resignations, he would “meet the MLAs personally.” “I would meet them personally….I can say anything on this only after I reach Hyderabad,” he said.
He refused to reply to a question on a time-frame for taking a decision on the issue.
