TRS to merge into congress?

If it is questioned if the TRS would soon merge in Congress, one might say yes, as the party chief KCR himself gave several indications to this effect in the past.
He once said achieving Telangana was the sole aim of TRS and there was no need to continue that party after Telangana is conceded. On another occasion, he said the Congress party was bringing pressure to merge TRS in it. He also said that Congress should be strengthened as it is that party that would concede Telangana. Even Congress leaders like Madhu Yashki and Sarve Satyanarayana have said TRS would be merged in Congress on several occasions.
However, when allegations were made that KCR was sold out to Congress and when his party ranks also expressed opposition, KCR changed his version. He said TRS would not be merged in any party, but would play a key role in the state’s reorganization after Telangana becomes a reality. He has alleged that the merger news was the creation of the Seemandhra media.
However, KCR has appeared at the Telangana Congress fast camp with a Congress shawl around his neck, thus strengthening the doubts about merger.
Chiranjeevi also denied merger news in the past. He was later found with the Congress shawl in a programme in Tirupati. He has announced merger of his party in Congress, after a few days.
What has happened in Chiranjeevi’s case would also happen in KCR’s case, several say.
