4 parties yet to make up mind on Telangana – PC
News pulse, Politics | admin | August 5, 2011 at 4:03 amPC, the Union Home Minister pointed out that out of the eight political parties, only three have expressed their views and came out openly for a separate Telangana state. They are TRS, BJP and CPI. The other parties Congress along with PRP which had merged, and the TDP are divided on the issue, the CPM had opposed bifurcation, the MIM has not spelt out a division and the newly formed YSR Congress Party has not taken any view on the issue, he explained.
Mr Chidambaram reminded that four out of eight parties in the State have not yet made up their mind on the issue. He appealed to all to help complete the process of consultations so that it would come to its logical conclusion. He also made a fervent appeal to all the people, especially the youth and students to maintain restraint and peace and not to resort to any extreme steps.
